If you create a field using a display name like « Parent ID » or « ParentID », you will probably have strange behaviors with smart action when you add it to a task list. The issue is cause by an hidden out of the box column named « ParentID » that is linked to task lists. Smart Action will get mixed up and use this hidden OOTB field instead of yours.
